Chives 8.5cm

An indispensable herb to have close at hand, Chives are easy to grow and will return year after year. They will grow happily in herb gardens as well as a pot on your patio and reach a height of 40cm and spread of 30cm. As well as the tubular foliage, the pink flowers produced in June and July are edible too.

The uses of Chives extends beyond garnishing potato salads and soups, it is also great for companion planting where it will deter pests such as carrot root fly. Chives do however attract beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies.
