The frondy foliage of Dill is an ingredient in many fish dishes so why not grow your own so you can always have it fresh and on hand? It is very easy to grow and will make a lovely ornamental plant bearing umbels of yellow flowers too.

Dill flowers will attract bees, hoverflies and butterflies and the caterpillars of the European swallowtail butterfly which will eat the leaves. You can harvest Dill leaves between June and October.
