Olive trees are very compact and slow growing making them an excellent choice for small gardens or even growing in pots. They do need a warm and sunny spot to thrive though.

Their attractive pale blue-green leaves give the tree colour all year round. Olive trees grown in the UK are unlikely to yield olives you can pick - they will only do so in a very warm spot.
