Sage is a popular culinary herb which has a variety of uses in cooking. It can be used as a delicious seasoning for meats, soups and stews, or the leaves can be steeped to make an invigorating and healthy herbal tea. Sage Icterina sports variegated yellow and green aromatic foliage, and racemes of purple-blue flowers in the summer.
Icterina has a slightly peppery taste which works well when added to cheeses and pickles, or for flavouring meat dishes. Harvest between May and October for the best quality leaves. Plant sage in pots, containers or borders in a sunny area and it will thrive.
Please note that all our plants come in simple plastic pots unless otherwise stated in the product name. If you wish to pot yours up we do have a wide range of pots to choose from.
