Sage is a popular culinary herb which has a variety of uses in cooking. It can be used as a delicious seasoning for meats, soups and stews, or the leaves can be steeped to make an invigorating and healthy herbal tea. Common sage sports greyish-green, aromatic leaves on woody stems, and racemes of purple-blue flowers in the summer.
Common Sage has an earthy, slightly citrusy taste which works well when added to meats, soups or stews to season them. Harvest between May and October for the best quality leaves. Plant sage in pots, containers or borders in a sunny area and it will thrive.
Please note that all our plants come in simple plastic pots unless otherwise stated in the product name. If you wish to pot yours up we do have a wide range of pots to choose from.
