Sage is a popular culinary herb which has a variety of uses in cooking. It can be used as a delicious seasoning for meats, soups and stews, or the leaves can be steeped to make an invigorating and healthy herbal tea.
Sage Purple is characterised by its colourful, aromatic leaves, which emerge bright purple and mature to a grey-green as they age.
Purple Sage's leaves have a pungent, aromatic flavour, which works well in Christmas stuffing! Harvest between May and October for the best quality leaves. Plant sage in pots, containers or borders in a sunny area and it will thrive.
Please note that all our plants come in simple plastic pots unless otherwise stated in the product name. If you wish to pot yours up we do have a wide range of pots to choose from.
