Hebes are popular evergreen shrubs, mostly native to New Zealand although some are native to Australia and South America. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and are suitable for growing in a range of sites and planting schemes.

Hebe Purple Pixie is a compact, hardy evergreen shrub with masses of purple flowers from late spring to the first frost of winter. This free flowering strong Hebe produces a wonderful display at the front of the border and shows colour all year round.

Genus of evergreen shrubs, grown for their often dense spikes, panicles or racemes of flowers and their foliage. Grows well in coastal areas. Smaller species and cultivars are suitable for rock gardens. Requires position in full sun and well drained soil. Growth may be restricted, or leggy plants tidied, by cutting back in spring. Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
