How to build a harvest vegetable wreath

HOW TO BUILD A HARVEST VEGETABLE WREATH

Soon it will be time to start harvesting the autumn vegetables you’ve worked hard to grow over summer – or maybe you’ve already started!  Undoubtedly, you’ll find a more bountiful harvest that expected, meaning there will be plenty of produce to give away to neighbours, friends and family. This year, why not really impress everyone by creating a harvest vegetable wreath made from everything you’ve grown in your garden? You can hang it proudly in your home, on your doorway, or give it away as a present - then afterwards take it down and add into your roast dinner leftovers!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A plain wreath to use as a base

  • Vegetables harvested from your garden – this can be kale, carrots, leeks, beetroot, squash, parsnips, or anything else you have growing!

  • Rosemary or other herbs picked from your garden

  • Twine or string

STEP BY STEP GUIDE: HOW TO BUILD A VEGETABLE WREATH

  1. Start by adding your larger vegetables like kale and leeks to your wreath, securing them tightly with twine to hold everything in place

  1. Once everything is where you want it, you can then add on your smaller vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, and beetroots. The colour of these veggies will really bring your wreath to life

  1. Lastly, add in fresh rosemary from your garden for added texture and scent

  1. Now all that’s left to do is show off all your hard work by hanging your wreath proudly on your door, or giving it away as a thoughtful seasonal gift to your loved ones
